Packrafting Scotland at the European packraft meet up

Where to begin with this incredible event… The packraft community is growing every year and this event is a fantastic opportunity to meet people from all over the world. Ideas are shared, laughs around the campfire and most importantly time on the river.

The meet is based just outside the town of Bovec in Slovenia and run by Packraft Europe. Surrounded by the Julian alps on the river Soca. Famous for it’s blue waters and incredible paddling. This river really has everything from grade 1 to grade 5. The mixed ability of the event means there is always someone to paddle with. On top of peer paddles there are work shops being run by experienced guides and one evening you can attend the packraft film festival showing at the campsite. This event is a must do if you are looking at or already have a packraft.

There are many options to get to this event and surrounding airports give you a choice of how to reach the event or you could drive out there.

This is one of my favourite places to paddle and I will be trying to get out there every year if possible.
